It promises to be an exciting event with Informative Sessions that will include the following:

  • Zoning trends in Kansas and Missouri.  An informative and educational panel discussion facilitated by Curtis Holland to include city and county officials along with carrier and tower representatives.
  • E911 Compliance. Keith Faddis, Director of Public Safety for Johnson County Emergency will explain what happens to a 911 call through PSAP – address location – map generation – carrier compliance with Federal Regulations for Phase 1 and 2 E911. He will also address future plans for E911 and Homeland Security.
  • Featured Lunch Speaker – 4G/LTE by Verizon
  • National Update: How Federal Policy is Affecting Your Local Siting Application. In this session Mike Saperstein, PCIA’s Director of Government Affairs, will be presenting an overview of the federal issues that may have an effect on the way you process your siting applications. Topics for discussion will include the FCC’s recent “Shot Clock” decision, the impact of the FCC’s national broadband plan and possible changes in the FAA registration process. 
  • How to “Go Green” – a detailed overview of different environmental conscience products and how to reduce power consumption and costs.
